Itinerary
08:00 – Meet your guide at Exit C, Dongzhimen Subway Station.
Drive about 2.5 hours to Jinshanling East Gate.
10:30 – Begin hiking with a 40-minute ascent to the East Five-Eye Tower (Simatai West). Enjoy panoramic views and take photos.
Continue westward along the Wall, passing through more than 15 watchtowers. Depending on your energy, you can finish at Shalingkou or continue 30 minutes further to Zhuanduokou.
Explore both unrestored “wild” sections and restored parts with unique architectural designs: two- and three-story towers, flat roofs, round domes, and traditional eaves.
13:30–14:00 – Enjoy a countryside lunch at a local farmer’s restaurant.
17:00–18:00 – Return to Dongzhimen, Beijing.
This section of the Great Wall is often called the most photogenic near Beijing. The variety of towers and landscapes ensures endless opportunities for photography.
