Brief Trip Itinerary
Day 1: Beijing → Huanghuacheng Great Wall (Afternoon Hike & Camping)
Depart Beijing around noon for a 2-hour drive to the tranquil Huanghuacheng section.
This unique area combines the Great Wall with stunning lakeside scenery — here the Wall winds over mountain ridges before dipping down to meet Hao Ming Lake, creating the rare sight of “Wall with water, and water without Wall.”
Enjoy a peaceful afternoon hike along the Wall, photograph the sunset, and then set up camp inside a watchtower. This overnight camping experience on the Great Wall will be the highlight of your trip.
Day 2: Sunrise on the Great Wall → Return to Beijing
Wake up early to catch the sunrise — around 5:00 AM in summer and 7:00 AM in winter. The morning light over the mountains and lake makes for unforgettable photos.
