Detailed Itinerary
08:00 AM – Pick-up at your hotel in Beijing. Drive 1.5 hours to Mutianyu.
09:30 AM – Arrive at the Wall and take a cable car up to Watchtower 14.
Begin hiking:
Walk west to Watchtower 20 for panoramic mountain views, or
Head east to Watchtower 6, or
Do a loop: from Watchtower 14 → 20 → back to 6.
The Wall here is about 6 meters wide, with elaborate brickwork, fine watchtowers, crenelations, decorative gables, and calligraphy tablets on some entrances.
12:00 PM – Options to go downhill: walk, take the cable car (optional), or try the exciting toboggan ride (optional).
12:30 PM – Enjoy a late lunch at a local farmer’s restaurant.
15:00 PM – Drive back to your hotel in Beijing.
